Through it's founder, Clyde Steffens, Automation
Industries Corporation has a rich and interesting history.
In 1966 Clyde Steffens began his professional career with
intense work with high frequency ultrasound, infrared
phenomena and, lasers. In 1970 Clyde Steffens and C.R.
Cushman co-founded Trienco, Inc. The Company's history in heavy industry began in 1973
when the American Plywood Association provided the
opportunity to apply our technical expertise. Trienco, Inc.
installed the first successful air-coupled, ultrasonic
nondestructive testing system in a Georgia Pacific plant
that same year. The following year Weyerhaeuser Corp.
purchased the first digital industrial laser thickness
gauge. Since then we have delivered over 700 industrial
installations to hundreds of customers in 16 countries
around the world. What makes us proud is that many of these
units are still in the field doing their job more than
twenty years after their original startup. Automation Industries has an unyielding commitment to
our customers and, more technical expertise in Lasers and
Ultrasound transducers than any one. Because of our
dedication to the principle of Form,
Fit and, Function we still support every
piece of equipment ever built by Trienco, Inc. and
Automation Industries Corp.
