Internal Defect Detectors Industries Currently
Served For more than twenty years we refused to sell a
C-Frame gauge. We still refuse to do so. The problem being
is regardless of the mass of the structure the frames expand
and contract with temperature and humidity to the extent
that ACCURACY is impossible to control. For whatever reason, it took us a long time to
understand the problem. Once we did, we designed an
open-ended frame that is as stable as ANY of our welded
O-frame designs. The design is revolutionary! It is also one
of our most closely guarded secrets. It is NOT a welded
C-frame! The ACCU-SCAN frame is capable of holding all three
models of our laser heads. When properly matched to the
product being monitored the unit has the capability to scan
cross machine profiles of panels, rubber and plastic
extruded shapes and, various wet processes such as Fiber
Cement, Gypsum Board and, Gypsum Fiberboard. The ACCU-SCAN
system is a natural fit on any continuous process line. The
frame is also capable of accommodating our Ultrasound
transducers and has been installed on a production line
configured as such. The ACCU-SCAN frame has also led to our latest joint
venture with IMEAS Industrial Machine. IMEAS came to AIC
because they needed an on-line gauge to monitor the out-feed
of their sanders. They knew that contact wheels and fixed
point systems could not give their customers the information
they needed. The ACCU-SCAN system can. AIC has incorporated precision drives into our
components for many years. The ACCU-SCAN unit can be driven
on-line in the cross machine direction to provide a very
high data density, allowing, accurate reconstruction of the
products' cross sectional profile. Here is the best part! In many cases an ACCU-SCAN
system actually cost less than a fixed head system while,
providing more meaningful data. We at AIC feel this is the
most significant development in the Process Control Industry
in years. Click on the industry links to see various
applications of this exciting technology. If you don't see
your industry listed contact us. We can help!
