AT A.I.C. we have been generating extrusion profiles
for years. However, they have not always been manufactured
in rubber or plastic. Ever since we instrumented the out
feed of a sander in a panel plant we have been charged with
verifying the shape and size of products. In 1988 we began
to manufacture the TUFF-SCAN tire inspection system. It is
with this product we developed our expertise in driving and
plotting the position of our sensors. When we put these two
technologies together we developed the ACCU-SCAN
System. The ACCU-SCAN System is designed to generate full
cross machine profiles online and provide real time data as
to its shape and size as compared to a target that is stored
in the computer. This target can be formulated in three
ways. The computer has the ability to learn the profile by
scanning known good reference samples. The computer can also
be programmed with the recipe, or the computer can be
programmed by Auto-Cad drawings. The computer can literally hold millions of recipes in
memory. Recipe changes can be made with a simple keystroke.
Our system can read different extrusions on parallel lines
simultaneously. Because all measurements are taken
differentially we have the capacity to display the top and
bottom readings independently. Our site simulator is equipped with an ACCU-SCAN frame
that can be reserved for testing and, verification of
performance. At A.I.C. we do everything humanly possible to
gain your trust and your business. Even when advance testing
is done at our facilities we still provide a PROOF of
PERFORMANCE guarantee with every product we sell! The digital laser
heads can update at a rate of 880 samples/second; or, an
update every 0.011' of cross machine travel at 10'/second.
The major beam diameter of the laser is approximately 0.010'
with the centroid being 0.004-0.006' diameter. This rapid
update rate results in a very high data density, allowing
accurate reconstruction of the product's cross sectional
profile. Every
