Product thickness is often the controlling criteria for product specification….the maximum acceptable thickness establishes the upper control limit in the process; the minimum acceptable thickness establishes the lower control limit. A process does not necessarily produce product within those bounds. The controllable width of this variation is called the process capability. Reducing thickness variation will often provide benefits in recovery as well as product uniformity.

ACCU-SCAN Laser Thickness Measuring Systems are designed with the express purpose of MAXIMIZING the benefits of reducing thickness variations. Our laser heads have always been DIGITAL. You might ask why? The answer; they don't drift like analog devices which means they don't need constant recalibration. They also don't need constant maintenance; they don't have any moving parts. Most importantly, we can guarantee their performance!

ACCU-SCAN Laser Heads have always been OPTICALLY LINEAR. Again, you might ask why? The ACCU-SCAN Laser head was designed to take measurements and as such needs no software to take an accurate measurement. Our Laser heads are not off the shelf units designed with no particular purpose in mind and then band-aided with software to make them work!

ACCU-SCAN Laser Heads are designed to work in the harshest environments. They are built to withstand heat, humidity, and barometric pressure changes. Also light and color variations do not adversely impact their accuracy. With an eleven plus year life expectancy they out perform the competition hands down (try getting eleven years out of a mechanical device).

Earlier in our discussion of ACCU-SCAN Laser Heads we stated that the very least you deserve is the very best we can do. We can do accurate measurements better than anyone!

ACCU-SCAN 1000 Series Laser Thickness Measuring Systems come in several different configurations, designed to accommodate your needs.

Every ACCU-SCAN System is fully network interfaced
