WE believe that a sound Proof of Performance contractual item is the best way of eliminating risk to both the buyer and the seller. 1. Both parties agree as to what constatutes performance up front, before going to contract. 2. Both parties agree as to the manner in which the equipment will be tested to prove performance. A sound Proof of Performance procedure is a valuable item throughout the life of the equipment. The procedure should be repeated periodically as a "housekeeping" item simply to insure that nothing has gone awry in the interim, especially where mechanical devices are involved. The Proof of Performance concept is valid for most significant components of an industrial manufacturing complex. This type of "housekeeping" can result in stable and improved process capability. |
