By applying the ACCU-SCAN frame technology to the process AIC has been able to develop a new lower cost approach to measuring the thickness of veneer immediately prior to the clipper. This new technology eliminates the problems inherent in measuring veneer on-line by providing a fully automatic calibration capability and, retract for access to the sensor heads.
